At the Farmer's Cart we feel strongly about the need to educate children about where our food comes from, farming practises and the preservation of the countryside. We are now welcoming schools and any other clubs or societies onto the farm.
Groups of children are taken around the farm by tractor and trailer and shown how the crops are grown and how the animals are reared. They are able to see a large variety of vegetables, fruits and the animals we have on the farm. The tour is aimed at primary school children at key stages 1 & 2.
During the visit the children are given light refreshments. The tour has been designed to be interactive, informative and fun!
Children's birthday parties follow a similar pattern to the school tours; however, they are set in a party atmosphere with a birthday lunch or tea and party games.
We run these tours and parties from Easter through until the end of October.
Birthday Parties are held on a Saturday from 11am to 1pm or from 3pm to 5pm, with school tours operating weekdays with a choice of a full or half day visit.
Both the parties and tours need to be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Please phone the shop or email for more details.
